• Arts Academy

    Hickory Hills Elementary School provides kindergarten through fifth grade students an academically challenging environment enhanced with the arts. Classroom teachers integrate the performing and visual arts in teaching academic content. We believe that “Arts integration is an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form. Students engage in a creative process which connects an art form and another subject area and meets evolving objections in both” (The Kennedy Center, CETA).
