HS Summer reading

MHS Summer Reading Challenge

  • Hey Readers! Get Ready for Our Summer Reading Challenge!

You've got two cool ways to dive into books this summer:

    1. Through the MCS High School Challenge: May 24-July 26

Join through our school’s own reading program. Here's how to rock the High School Challenge:

      • Read Every Day: Aim for at least 25 minutes daily (3 hours a week), hitting 1,440 minutes by summer's end, and make sure to log your minutes in Beanstack. Beanstack instructions videos are included on this page.
      • Track & Badge Up: Log your reading sessions to score up to 9 awesome badges in Beanstack. You've got to collect them all to win!
      • Book Review Time: Drop two book reviews using our book review template in Beanstack. Just keep it within the word limit.
      • Activity Alert: Complete two super fun activities listed on Beanstack and upload your activites.

When we return to school in Fall 2024, MHS students and faculty that have hit 1,440 minutes, scored up to 9 badges, and completed two fun activities will be invited to our Ice Cream Social and be entered to win book gift cards! Look for your invitation to the Ice Cream Social on Schoology.
